Service manual anyone? Powers up but permanent display of 12.0002 which is
obviously an error code/indication of ADC failure or similar.

Thanks in advance

I can handle 20MB attachment to an email no problem. DSL connection as well.
Please remove xwy wherever it appears in my email address. That's to say
send it to afb12 at dial dot pipex com.

Thanks you so much
Dave

I have one, but it's BIG, 20Meg zipped.
How to proceed?
I can chop it in pieces and send them. You glue them together...
Do you have a fast connection (DSL?)
Let me know.
Cheers, Zilog

Why not uploading it on the BAMA ftp servers?

bama.sbc.edu/upload

or its mirror

bama.edebris.com/upload

A very good idea ... if HP don't have a problem.

The file you uploaded was not OK as it happens (way too small) - I've
uploaded it OK though as HP3490A.pdf.new along with a small readme.txt.

Thanks to the service manual kindly sent by VMI, this is now working - the
problem was basically the instrument was out of adjustment. Int zero was
way out, and the +10V reference was somewhat out of adjustment as well.
