Hi,
I would program PIC16F877A with ICSP.
I used as programmer a jdm based (Pic-PG2 showed
http://www.olimex.com/dev/) and as software ic-prog 1.05C.
I tried a lot of configurations but nothing.
One is showed below:

with and without the wire between the two Vdd. Later i proved this jdm
configuration (http://www.jdm.homepage.dk/icsp.htm) but i used as diode
BAT48: nothing.
Now:
1)There is any particular ic-prog setting to program with ICSP?
2)Why during the programming the value of MCLR is 8 volt ?(I know that
it shoud be 13v)
3)Why I must use a Schottky diode?
Thanks to all

I have a little dreidel, I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready, with dreidel I shall play.
Oh, Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, I made you out of clay
Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, with Dreidel I shall play.

I don't know what all that stuff is, but it sounds like this device is a
long way from 'user friendly'!
