INFORMA dialler and Follow me |
|
|
Has anyone used this function on this dialler? It says in the instructions
that the Follow Me number is cancelled each time that the alarm system is
unset. The local installer is not familiar with that function. He does not
see how the unseting of the system could reset the Follow Me number because
there is no communication between the control panel and dialler on unseting
the system. I am loathed to stick in a number in case I could not then
cancel it. Could anyone elucidate on this?
Thanks
Roman

Thats because he has not wired it to communicate between the panel and |
dialler, depending on control panel it can send a set and unset signal each
time it is used.
If this is not wired then the dialler will just keep the follow on number in
memory until changed or deleted manually which should be in your operators
manual.

It looks that he does not know the unit well. The panel is Veritas 8 |

It is not. All it says is that it will be cancelled each time that the alarm
system is unset -:(

Possibly. You may well be right that just deleting the number might be good |
enough to cancel the function but I might prefer to have it cancelled on
system unset as stated in the User manual, if that is possible with my
panel. Unfortunately the installer did not know ins and outs of the Follow
me function on this dialler.

Veritas 8. |
I am still not sure if it could have been (or even is) connected to work as
described in the INFORMA user guide. (Sorry for a late reply, I was away for
a long weekend.)
